Support throughout the homebuying process

Our sales teams help customers understand the buying process, keep them informed and work with the other professionals involved in their purchase.

“Guinness Homes was on hand throughout the whole process which, as a first-time buyer, was really reassuring. There were some hiccups at the solicitor’s end, but it was nothing the Guinness team couldn’t manage.”

Matteo, McArthur’s Yard, Bristol

“The Guinness team had all the hard bits covered. The homebuying process was very well structured, and we were given a choice of plots, as well as solicitors to help guide us. We had additional support from the Guinness Homes team and our brokers, and everything we didn’t quite understand was broken down for us in an easy and digestible way. It couldn’t have been more accommodating.”

Jade and Connor, Goddard Street, Crewe

“I was very nervous at the beginning, but my sales representative was incredibly helpful. He talked me through the process step-by-step, answering any questions quickly. The Guinness Homes team really went above and beyond.”

Nigora, Lyon Quarter, Brighton and Hove

“I was initially nervous about reserving a property without viewing it, but the Guinness Homes team were fantastic every step of the way.”

Nikki, Lyon Quarter, Brighton and Hove

“The Guinness team has been absolutely sterling. I made the decision at Christmas time and I was moved in by February – I couldn’t have asked for an easier process.”

Alison, Signal Park, Tolworth

“The team at Signal Park were so helpful – we’d recommend them to anyone. From the location to the style of the apartments to the affordability, we’re confident that we’ve made the right decision.”

Maxine and Andrew, Signal Park, Tolworth

“We were so nervous to start the process of moving home, but the Guinness Homes team have been nothing but supportive; even down to helping us choose a mortgage broker and a solicitor who specialises in Shared Ownership. The whole process has been so straightforward and as a couple who work full time, this has really suited our needs.”

George and Laura, Signal Park, Tolworth

“I’d heard some negative things about developers and service charges, so I went online and tried to find bad things about Guinness – and I just couldn’t! My research just brought up positive reviews, so we felt very reassured. The Guinness team were so helpful throughout the whole process. They really looked after us. Anytime we had an issue they would sort it – we cannot stress enough about how amazing they were.”

Raymond and Mark, August Fields, Newhaven

A straightforward buying experience

Every purchase is different, but several of our customers have spoken about how straightforward their experience was and how quickly they were able to move into their new homes.

“The process couldn’t have been easier; I had my first viewing at the end of January and a second viewing shortly after. The deal was completed at the end of March, and I moved in the first week of April.”

Daniel, The One Hundred, Alperton

“Once I fully understood how shared ownership works, the process was straight forward. I purchased my flat in November and I had moved in by January. My mortgage advisors, the housing association and the solicitors were all incredibly helpful throughout and made the whole process a lot smoother and easier than I had expected.”

Angelika, The One Hundred, Alperton

“We had our offer accepted at the end of October and we were in by Christmas: the whole process was so quick and easy, and Guinness Homes took away a lot of the pressures associated with moving.”

Karolina, The One Hundred, Brent

“The team at Guinness Homes were very helpful throughout the whole process. We paid our deposit on the fourth of July and moved in on the twentieth of the same month, we couldn’t believe how simple and quick it was.”

Thilanka, The Waterfront, Gloucester

Clear and open communication

Customers have also told us about the importance of receiving prompt responses, clear information and regular updates, particularly when buying a home off-plan.

“Guinness Homes was quick to get back to me after I initially inquired about the properties and shared ownership scheme; I was kept in the loop throughout the whole process.”

“The sales process was slick and seamless – every team member contacted me when they said they would, and communication has been open and honest throughout, despite buying off-plan. Lyde Green’s brochures and information packs included everything, with no hidden costs or surprises.”

Tilly, Lyde Green, Bristol

The quality of our homes

The design, specification and finish of a new home can make a real difference. Our customers have commented on the workmanship, space, included appliances and attention to detail in their Guinness Homes properties.

“The quality and workmanship is fantastic, it’s better than anything else I viewed.”

Alison, Signal Park, Tolworth

“I was struck by how lovely the finishes were, the kitchen in particular felt premium, and the flooring is so comfortable. You can tell that everything was brand new and that they’d spent time and money getting the place to a high standard.”

Nikki, Lyon Quarter, Brighton and Hove

“Signal Park is everything we were looking for in a home. The development is visually beautiful, and our home comes with amenities such as a washing machine, fridge and dishwasher, which helps us practically and financially.”

George and Laura, Signal Park, Tolworth

“There’s another development nearby from a different developer, and you don’t get any of the add-ons included with the house – things like a fridge, washing machine and dishwasher all must be bought as extras… even the carpet! At August Fields everything is included – we were given the keys on move-in day and walked into a fully fitted home.”

Raymond and Mark, August Fields, Newhaven

“Both the site, and our home, are fantastic. It’s a very stylish development”

Karolina, The One Hundred, Brent

Making homeownership more accessible

Shared Ownership has helped many of our customers buy homes in locations where purchasing on the open market may not have been affordable for them.

With Shared Ownership, you buy a share of a home and pay rent on the remaining share. You will usually need to pay a service charge and may have other monthly costs. Eligibility requirements and the shares available can vary by home and development.

“We chose a Shared Ownership property as it was the most affordable way to get on the property ladder. It has allowed us to own a home in the right location, all whilst being affordable and manageable.”

George and Laura, Signal Park, Tolworth

“If it weren’t for Shared Ownership, we wouldn’t have been able to buy a property.”

Maxine and Andrew, Signal Park, Tolworth

“Getting on to the property ladder was difficult for us. When we heard about shared ownership we were really happy and couldn’t believe how easy it could be to buy a house.”

Thilanka, The Waterfront, Gloucester

“I wouldn’t have been able to afford to live in Bristol without shared ownership”.

Tilly, Lyde Green, Bristol

Finding a home that feels right

A home is about more than the buying process. It needs to work for the people who live there, from the location and transport connections to the space, specification and surrounding community.

“I didn’t realise how nice it was until I saw it, and it’s truly exceeded my expectations every day since.”

Daniel, The One Hundred, Alperton

“I’m beyond happy with my decision. I have found a home that perfectly fits into my life.”

Angelika, The One Hundred, Alperton
